Long before I ever thought of myself as a photographer, long before I even identified myself as a lover, I was, am, a writer. I’ve grappled with the term, as many others have– what does it mean to be a writer? Someone who writes.

My writing was once fueled by internal drama and external trauma, but upon finding myself happy one day (herein lies a little lie– I didn’t just “find myself” happy at all, as if I’d fallen into it; I chose to be) I lost this particular kind of angst-fueled muse all at once.

I could write to no end about writing (well, maybe not) so instead I’ll tell you this: all those years of sporadically inspired work– prose and poetry alike– manifested into my best work.. of the 2000s.

And thus, I’m happy to announce that later this year I will be publishing an anthology of these early works for you to read!
